Our Story
Purple Horseshoe Baking Company was born of many late nights spent in the kitchen over good food, with good friends. Our local artisans put the energy from those nights, along with a few simple, high quality ingredients into every one of our handcrafted cakes.
Our Inspiration
Humble Hank
The idea for Purple Horseshoe Baking Company began in 2018 when two friends wanted to create premium quality plant based baked goods. Sadly, one of the founders known as Hank passed away before the company began operations but we keep his memory alive through our 10-year-old sourdough starter, Hank’s Original, affectionately known around the shop simply as Hank.
